Basic day of week stuff can be had with sql
VALUES DAYOFWEEK(DATE('2011-06-01')) returns a 4
VALUES DAYOFWEEK_iso(DATE('2011-06-01')) returns a 3

Long day. Moved three racks with 7 lpars to another city and got them
working and had to change a LOT of IP addresses so, if that seems a little
short, sorry - serious lack of sleep also.
