Hi Again,
The hard allocations are on the ELA (LQALL) and ILI (LIALOC), soft
allocations are on the IIM (ICUSA contains customer orders and IPRDA
contains shop orders) and IWI (WCUSA ~which contains both customer and
shop orders).
Soft allocations are the remaining balance on the shop order material
file and can be calculated (on FMA file, MQREQ - MIN(MQREQ, MQISS)).
Hard allocations are also contains on the FMA ~MQALL...
This is the way it works for 4.05CD, I'm guessing most of it hasn't
changed... Hope this helps.

Okay. So the actual allocation is in ELA but what other files and
fields, for inquiry purposes, have that data as well? I thought the ILI
had that information stored but as I look closer it doesn't appear that
it does. Is it only the ELA and IIM files that are updated with shop
order allocations?
Thank you

In any version the allocation is in the ELA. Item master and warehouse
Files show the allocation in the detail for inquires but the ELA is the
allocation file

When a shop order is created and inventory is allocated, what files
contain the allocation data?
Any assistance will be appreciated.
