You do have to be careful to have physical locations properly labeled, and a tested mechanism if you ever need to "borrow". For example we have items that we can manufacture or purchase ... lead times and costs are a bit different ... our trade-off is ... get it right away but pay more We have several facilities in the same building. If you transfer item across facilities, it drags its cost structure with it, obliterating last cost story on the target, which can mess up traceability of cost of sales. - Al Macintyre http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:AlMac http://www.ryze.com/go/Al9Mac BPCS/400 Computer Janitor ... see http://radio.weblogs.com/0107846/stories/2002/11/08/bpcsDocSources.html -- This is the SSA's BPCS ERP System (BPCS-L) mailing list To post a message email: BPCS-L@xxxxxxxxxxxx To subscribe, unsubscribe, or change list options, visit: http://lists.midrange.com/mailman/listinfo/bpcs-l or email: BPCS-L-request@xxxxxxxxxxxx Before posting, please take a moment to review the archives at http://archive.midrange.com/bpcs-l.
