We set up a separate Warehouse for our Service stocks. That way, when we
look at orders, we know what they are for.

You could also categorise them using different Facilities or Locations.

Subject: [BPCS-L] Service Parts

Hi All,

Does any have any ideas of how we could manage service parts with BPCS
instead of creating an entire new system? Our problem is that a service
item and a production item has the same item number and we need a way to
tell the difference. We though of using item type but IIM does not
allow for duplicate item numbers.

Thanks in advance.
