If you use different facilities, the same item can have different item class & MRP rules by facility. You do have to be careful to have physical locations properly labeled, and a tested mechanism if you ever need to "borrow". For example we have items that we can manufacture or purchase ... lead times and costs are a bit different ... our trade-off is ... get it right away but pay more We have several facilities in the same building.
