Correct. DRP is an inter-facility tool to manage requirements where same item in more than one facility and there is a dependency ... where one particular facility is to provide the item to another particular facility.
Check out the file BPCSDOC ... there is a member in there which is a manual for each application of BPCS with a name like SSARUN then a couple digits. One of them is for DRP. If you are new to BPCSDOC you should start with SSALOG00 which is overall logic manual to all of BPCS. Of course none of this is like a real manual, but still useful if you not have any other documentation.
