You are very welcome. FYI, If you have started a new year in BPCS, and accounting hasn't closed G/L yet (hasn't run GLD900) then BPCS starts to populate the 'next fiscal year' fields 1 thru 6; hence the 6 month time-frame to close G/L... Good luck Dave. Thanks DeeDee. I never would have guessed it on my own. I'm trying to help the accounting people figure out why debits don't equal credits on the Trial Balance report for several months from last year (which hasn't been closed yet) when they did a couple of months ago. It looks like that report is getting it's totals from these fields but nothing was matching and I couldn't figure it out. I still don't see anything that matches but hopefully this will get us a little closer. BPCS Version 4.02 Can anybody explain to me how the "period" fields in the G/L Master file (GGM) work? Specifically, the GPDx and GPCx debit and credit fields. There are 34 of each. We operate on 12 fiscal periods per year yet there is data in pretty much all 34 of them. Is it a rolling 12 months? We are currently in period 3 of 2005 but if I wanted to find the debit and credit balances of period 8 (August) of 2005 would that be in GPD8/GPC8 or somewhere else? So far I can't make sense of them. Thanks.
