Dear Jeff, yes .... there's some information about a couple of legal challenges that were settled before reaching civil court. The information is not current but it may still be pertinent. Please call me off-line to learn more. A document on our web site has a short segment which makes some observations about the pre-GT standard BPCS license agreement and related implications for CPU key pricing. You can find that document by going here ... http://www.unbeatenpathintl.com/downloads.html ... and then selecting the third download off the list. This paper was written some time ago so some of the content is admittedly non-fresh. I have heard rumors but would like to see if anyone knows anything in more detail. There are multiple past post stories based on SSA practices which may have changed yet again. Consider companies that are not on SSA Tech support, that just have the license to use BPCS. Now they want to replace the box that BPCS runs on, and SSA wants to get them to return to OSG. Allegedly, SSA sometimes used tactics at that point that persuade companies that it is time to leave BPCS entirely and try a different ERP vendor.
