It is a reasonable question for which there are many plausible answers.
A company I know of had a merger ... different factories operating on
different versions of BPCS, and they want to harmonize everything at the
same version ... different 400 partitions for different nations native
languages.
Another possibility, there has been turn over at a company, and the new
people do not know where to go for tech support and documentation.
I have been with my employer for 20 years, and I know we have managed to
misplace some SSA documentation ... I was just looking for the files flow
chart a few days ago on the occasion of us adding a new facility ... no,
not business picking up, but restructuring how we manage different kinds of
parts.

Umm,
Genyphyr from SSA writes "I question why a person who has legally purchased
the BPCS 6.0.04 software would be needing to write to a user forum"
Maybe his company did purchase BPCS legally but then was Sand bagged by SSA
when they ran for Bankruptcy protection. Yep, everyone lost customers,
shareholders and Employees. But, I guess all is fair and forgotten in
Business when
you wait 6 months and change your name to SSA-GT.
Think twice next time before you decide to insinuate theft.
