Hi Rick,

It's usually the second digit of the two digit record-id that indicates
logical deletion by being set to 'Z'. There are some exceptions - in the ZSC
file if I remember correctly it is the first (used to teach this stuff in
the Technical Orientation course when I was at SSA!), and in the ZPA file
each record is different, and some files use the second digit to indicate
something else (C for credit, I for invoice etc.)
You can see the record id at the beginning of the record using DSPPFM or
Query. Also you can check the SSA Logic Manual which is in the BPCS
libraries and can be accessed from the DOC menu, it is called SSALOG00. If
you can't see it there you may need to take the option to regenerate the
index.
