The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.
As a stop gap measure, we are using Google's custom search engine service.
If you know of an easy to use, open source, search engine ... please contact support@midrange.com.
We are on V405 CD
We have done modifications that include the addition of SQL to our BPCS.
I would hazard a guess that what we have done is not that unusual.
John, since both you and I are in the Evansville 400 User group, and
several other members of that group are also on BPCS, there is another
group you might pose the question to.
You might want to search MIDRANGE_L archives for OS/4 version upgrade
considerations.
For example, there is a conversion that occurs with spool file entries ...
if you not have many reports, big deal, but apparently some places had
excessive volume.
We had some objects get larger. If disk space at a premium, this could be
a problem.
We using the same software as before the upgrade, and same type of usage,
but we getting interactive ceiling hits much more often ... IBM has changed
something to push the sales of CPW.
These are not BPCS issues directly, but depend on modifications and add-ons.
John,
SQL arrived in BPCS in V5, however not many clients are on V5.
