Albert,

It seams that the EDI transactions you would like to exchange are pure
orders that you want to have integrated in COM / ORD. You can do with
standard ECM adapters. RMS is not required in that case.
If you plan to use mainly EDIFACT transactions, we already have a fully
integrated EDI solution with BPCS V6 and V8 on the shelf.
This product ECS/EIP is available for the EDI translators TLE/400 (the old
SSA EDISOL/EDISET product), TLA for AS/400 (EDI/400 - TrustedLink product
from Harbinger/Peregrine) and very soon with our own ECS/integrated email
module ECS/EDI.
It includes messages like ORDERS, INVOICES, ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS, DISPATCH
ADVISES, and others, for EDIFACT, TRADACOMS and EAN alike standards.
We can also provide professional services to implemented very quickly this
solution, as we have knowledge of the Spanish EDI market, and we have
Spanish speaking EDI / ECM consultants available.

If you require more information, or if you want me to contact you directly,
let me know off-line.

Hi folks,
BPCS v6.1.01.
My question is whether is possible to implement the ECM module ( EDI ) with
out using RMS, using standard ORD and BIL for the supply chain cycle. I do
not know RMS, so I wonder if there is many difficulties if we receipt
customer orders via EDI and fill up ECH/ECL files and process the orders in
the standard ORD distribution cycle.
Many thanks in advance.
Albert
