The reason for setting up a WIP warehouse as part of "normal BPCS methodology" is if WIP tracking is being done. BPCS does WIP tracking on the parent item as it moves from operation to operation. Because the parent item is not compete it should not be allocated. That is why the WIP warehouse is required. The WIP warehouse should be set up as non-allocatable.
