Crowe Chizek has some software for Customer Order Change History.
We lucked into getting a copy since it is not something they sell on the open
BPCS market.

Basically each nite we run this series of programs that.
1. Copy selected info from file ECL to Crowe's file, after it renames
yesterday nite's copy to another name.
2. Compare contents of the 2 copies & add population to ECG file that
documents all additions & changes to ECL file that occurred that day, such as
price changes, due date, quantity, and there are codes for types of changes,
like it occurred via shipping manipulations or order maintenance.

On the purchasing side there are some purchasing parameters to define what
constitutes past due, too early delivery etc. & statistics by vendor are
accumulated to infinity. I wrote a modification to clear those totals, which
we do every 6 months after printing a report on how our vendors are doing.
You need to be careful here about what calendar it is using.

Since I have bumped into you occasionally at the Evansville AS/400 user
meetings, perhaps it might be easier to ask our respective bosses about
arranging a visitation to see some of this stuff in operation.
