this may or may not help.

each night we take the schedule date and 'copy' it to one of the user dates on
the ECL file. there is some logic that deals with special dates, or situations
such as you lead time problem. but basically the idea is to capture a schedule
date into the user date field. then each night we run a report of what shipped
during the month (B txn), the date of the shipment, and the date in the user
date field. we try to get a feel as to how many orders (dollars) get shipped
within the scheduled shipping month, 1 month late, 2 months late, 1 month
early, 2 months early, etc.
it a gross indicator only!

We are using version 6.1.01. Most of our orders come in through EDI, using ECM
and RMS. I would like to be able to report delivery performance but am having a
difficult time tracking actual delivery vs. original requested date. You see,
when the data is pulled from RMS, the order lines in ECL are overwritten with
the latest release requirements. In addition, we have lead-time requirements
that, if violated, should not constitute a late shipment. So, we have to know
which release requirements violate lead times and eliminate those from the
calculation.

Has anyone done anything with BPCS to measure deliver performance? How have you
overcome the above obstacles?
