Jim,

We have actually done the very same thing and even changed from April to
December just this year and we are using 4.05 CD. There may be better ways
to do this but this is how I handled it.

I removed the last 3 periods from the GPM file so I could create a new
period master using January dates. You will then have to move your previous
years buckets in GGM to reflect the change in the year end. Example Bucket
21 in GGM is April data (or the first period of your previous year.) In
order to report last year's data (if you need to do this) You have to get
GGM to realize that period 1 last year should be January, so what we have to
do is move Bucket 21 data to bucket 24. and so on. You will probably want
to save a copy of GGM before you do year end for December so you don't lose
your January February March last year.

If you would like to discuss this further, please feel free to call me.

Subject: GL Change of Fiscal Year 4.05 CD

--
[ Picked text/plain from multipart/alternative ]

We are thinking about changing from fiscal year end of April to Dec and I
want to know if there any issues with BPCS to do this..ie ..GLD900 2 times
in
the same year ,etc..? Any potential problems or issues would be helpful. I
would like to talk to a financial type person who has done this before on
BPCS 405cd...
thanks
