We recently moved from TLE to Extol.

In our opinion we felt the three market leaders were Gentran, Peregrine and
Extol. We reviewed all three.

After we reviewed concepts and features of all, we felt that Extol was slightly
stronger than the other products. However, after several conversations on where
we thought the different products had been (we were on the mainframe Gentran
package and had been watching Premenos when we elected to go with the as/400),
where they were and where we felt they were headed (meaning where were they
were putting the development $$$); Extol won hands down.

If you go with Extol, shy away from the BPCS quickstart package. To say I was
disappointed with its delivery would be an understatement, I was very unhappy.

Subject: BPCS 2 Upgrade & Gentran Vs Extol EDI

Looking for some Professional Opinion out there.

Problems or Things to look out for when:

1. Moving from BPCS V 2.x to 6.x or 8.x

2. BPCS with Gentran EDI Solution attached.
(I have experience with BPCS and Extol)

3. Extol compared to Gentran, Which do you folks prefer.
