Roger, I am no expert on all the guidelines, but am aware that 6.1 makes very different demands on the box than 405 CD, so it is imperative to get at the sizing questionairre from IBM/SSA & to get it up to date to find out what you need on your box to support the reality that you are shifting to, but if you doing 6.1 on one environment & 405cd on another, and this is going to be long term reality, then you not in a standard situation that perhaps the sizing questionairre addresses, so you need MORE support than it. It might also help to get a copy of the IBM Redbook on BPCS, which doubtless is not as up-to-date as you would want, but it is better than not having any guidelines. http://www.redbooks.ibm.com/abstracts/sg245410.html > From: Roger.Henady@thorco.com > > With all the upgrade talk, I was wondering when upgrading from 405CD to > 6.1 on the same box should the user increase memory / disk / batch > interactive ?? > > With all the SQL it seems to be slower. We finally got all the PTF's for > the Database installed for AS/400 4.5 and BPCS 6.1. This has helped. > What are the guide lines?
