Marc, I am only partially confused, (no more than usual). I am working with IBM on my upgrades and they are the ones who have assured me that my serial number will not change. I am actually trying to contact SSA for their input but no one seems to want to answer. Thanks for the trying to help me through this. Bill Couch I.S. In my first e-mail I mentioned change of Physical Box. IBM has confirmed to me that when you change Physical Boxes you are given a new serial number. 2. We are currently on V4R4M0 and using a 820 model. 3. Bill phone IBM concerning the best possible way for you to upgrade from V4R4M0. 4. I would request a new CPU key from SSA.
