You will need a new permanent key for BPCS due to the model number
change.

It is now customary for IBM to ship a new CEC (8XX) box from Rochester,
with the serial number the same due to the MES upgrade.  This has not
changed from when the AS/400 was introduced (as long as you didn't wait
too long, and a valid upgrade was still available).

I have worked with customers that have had the same serial number for
the last 12 - 14 years, just different models.
