Marc, You have to watch the following settings in the MRP140: Master Scheduled - M items are planned in MRP500 & DRP500, N items are planned in MRP600 (as long as the other settings are correct.) Requirements Code - I - used for Independent items only (such as customer order - it will not plan as a component in MRP600), D - use for Dependent items only (these are normally component items planned during MRP600), S - The need could be from a Independent or Dependent demand (this is usually the safest and will capture both the independent and dependent needs). Demand Codes 1 & 2 - This tells the system what demands to plan for before and after the time fence. (Forecast planning includes minimum balances.) 1 Greater of Forecasts and Customer Orders 2 Sum of Customer Orders and Forecasts 3 Forecasts Only 4 Customer Orders Only Order Policy - IF this field is blank the system will not plan during MPS, MRP or DRP. Hope this helps. Beth A. Since your mail reader does not understand this format, some or all of this message may not be legible. -- [ Picked text/plain from multipart/alternative ] V61.01 MM AS/400 I have a situation where I cannot figure out why a certain item is not calculating when I run MRP500 and MRP600. When I use MRP300D and view the item in question, I see on the header info "Activity Ý". I know this field comes from the CIC data or MRP140. If I blank this field out for that specific item and re-run MRP500, MRP600 and returns to status "Y" and again fails to calculate. How does this field get to the "Y" status and how can I prevent it from going to a "Y".
