How do they expect you to do your work, when it requires specialist BPCS knowlege that you do not have? Did they even ask for that in their search for the job that you filled? For example, you could go to BPCS University Classes & get a PhD in some aspect of BPCS relevant to what the employer wants you to know, but this will cost thousands of dollars & you would be away from the company for a few weeks. Would this be at their expense or are you expected to pay your own way? Or the company could aquire some BPCS manuals, which cost hundreds of dollars each. What is their budget for BPCS documentation? Perhaps they already have some & merely only need to make sure you have access to it. John Techmeier mentioned the on-line logic manual. Access to this DOC is a sub-set of SYS security. If your security will not let you in the front door, it might let you in the back door. Get to a command line from within BPCS library list & WRKOBJ BPCSDOC to find out what library the BPCS on-line documentation is stored in, then use WRKMBRPDM to access it. Ask if your IT department still has the media associated with the original install or any upgrade of BPCS ... there is immense additional documentation associated with each that ordinarily is not on-line to the 400.
