To check Unposted Journals:-
GLD310
Check 1 period at a time
Display
       Status Error Y
       Unposted Y
       Posted

Also run GLD200 and ensure that it shows zero records.

GJH and GJD can have the following Record IDs
JE Error
JP Posted
JU Unposted

Journals are removed and archived to GJHO and GJDO when GLD900 Main Year End
is run. GJHO and GJDO should be backed up as they are cleared next time
GLD900 Main Year End is run.
Note Up to 9 years journals can be retained online (even though the GLD900
screen and help gives the impression that they can only be retained for 1 or
2 years)

        Subject: GLD batches

There was this scenario with transactions posted for last month
after end
Fiscal, which we found out thanks to the Opening Balance changing &
I thought
that one way to check the impact on our costs & other topics would
be to look
at GLD batches that might exist on past fiscal periods.

We have a lot of GLD batches on line in which the transaction date
is from
prior fiscal periods that I thought were closed, much more than I
would have
expected thanks to the back dated transactions of which I was aware.

Could someone tell me how I can tell from the status codes whether a
GLD
batch has or has not been posted? After a GLD batch is posted,
how long
until the GJH GJD records involved actually go away?
