Not sure what to advise on V4.03, but the 6.0 versions offer an order purge program to purge orders older than a specific number of days. Maybe you could write a similar program or contact our Global Development Center, they may be able to retrofit the 6.0 program to run on the 4.003 Database. I would contact your Account Manager to explore solutions that SSA GT can help with. If you are unsure who your Account Manager is, contact me offline and I will research for you. Bob Benton "Tom Briscoe" <tom.b@ireland.com> on 12/14/2000 03:43:48 AM Please respond to BPCS-L@midrange.com To: BPCS-L@midrange.com cc: (bcc: BOB BENTON/SSA/US) Subject: Order Number Field Size We are on BPCS v4.03 and find we are shortly to run out of order numbers (6 digit field HORD on file ECH). I presume this must be a fairly common issue and wonder how have other people overcome this ? Ideally we would want the field to be 8 digits but realise this would be a big modification to undertake owing to the appearance of the order number on other files and on various screen displays and printouts. Any suggestions would be welcome. Thanks.
