I HAD THE OPPORTUNITY TO ATTEND A SSA BRIEFING A COUPLE OF WEEKS AGO WHERE THEY
SPOKE ABOUT WHAT THEY WILL BE RELEASING NEXT MONTH, NEXT SUMMER, AND NEXT
WINTER. VERSION 8 IS SCHEDULED FOR NEXT SUMMER. THIS BRIEFING WA HELD IN
NUMEROUS CITIES. SSA THEN SENT US A COPY OF THE OVERHEAD PRESENTATIONS VIA
EMAIL. SO THEY SHOULD BE TOTALLY AVAILABLE. I'D SUGGEST THAT YOU CALL YOU SSA
ACCOUNT REP. THEY SHOULD BE ABLE TO SEND THE OVERHEADS IF NOT MORE INFORMATION.

I agree with you. Martin Ambrose promised a white paper on Version 8 would
be posted to OGS 6 weeks after the NE User Conference. It's now been almost
3 months.

We are very anxious for this info.

        Warm greetings to you ...

It would be great if someone at SSA-GT would be willing to share
information about the current strategic direction on post-version 6 plans
for BPCS software.

Furthermore, it would be very interesting to learn about what types
of new/revised functionality are being actively considered for the next
"major" version.

Information of this genre could certainly provide encouragement to
some enterprises that are getting reasonable value from their BPCS system
but who have expressed doubts about the future development path for the
software.

Thanks in advance for any information of this kind that managers at
SSA-GT would be willing to release.

        Very kind regards,
