In theory, except for what is being shipped today, the quantity picked, shipped, invoiced should be identical. We can have some lag in our production reporting, such that the inventory does exist & we are going to ship it, but the picking process drives the on-hand inventory negative. Under stuch circumstances, I do not believe the customer allocations total can be correct. Create a query/400 to list discrepancies where quantity picked shipped invoiced is not identical & also show date of last inventory activity shipped invoiced etc. You may find that, like us on 405 CD, that there are some garbage totals in need of Customer order clean up. Now when there is no more garbage in the system, I should think that MRP should want to subtract on-hand picked shipped or invoiced from quantity due to be produced, so that what is left to make will correctly meet the customer's requirements. As for INV300, perhaps we can collectively suggest a BMR-E-Enhancement to SSA GT that a command there could show inventory status at various stages of picking shipping invoicing, since there are different viewpoints regarding what needs to be tracked where. > From: Dick_Bailey@MCFA.COM (Bailey, Dick) > > Does anyone know why the Customer Allocation total showing on INV300 > screens and recorded in field WCUSA in the CIC file EXCLUDES the quantity > picked (LQPCK) in ECL? > > The detail shown on INV300-03 (Material Status Inquiry - Orders) DOES > show these orders as open. > One sample I'm looking at shows open orders totaling > 32 when the Customer Allocation total is 24. > Two of the orders, for a total of 8, are picked. > There are no manufacturing allocations. > > Is this a bug?
