You might look at 1099pro (www.1099pro.com).  This will accept a comma,
space, or tab delimited ascii file.  Use file transfer to download your
1099 info to Excel, massage as needed, then use Excel to save a comma
delimited file.  The 1099 pro client supports mapping of fields, so you
have flexibility in the way you set up.

This program produces 1099s on blank paper using a laser printer. It will
also print on pre-printer laser forms.  If you mag file, you don't need to
buy reds.  They also sell trifold perf paper and envelopes.
