Re: Daily Planned Orders

Agreed that DRP is generally the answer, but if you are using forecasting be 
aware that all demand will appear at the beginning of the forecast period.  
If you want daily demand, then you will need to create a daily forecast.

Also, if the manufacturing facility has direct demand on it from customers 
then I've found it helpful to create the manufacturing plant as two 
facilities in BPCS.  At the lowest level, a manufacturing facility which will 
get demand from the DC facility, which in turn gets demand from forecasted 
customer orders as well as DRP orders from the true DC.

Run DRP for Facility 01, then for Facility 02, then MPS and MRP for Facility 
03

Example:

Fac 01 - DC servicing customers  - Sells to customers only
                           |||
                           V
             -----------------------------------
Fac 02 - |  Manufacturing DC      | - Sells to customers and supplies DC
             |               |||                |
             | - - - - - -   V  - - - - - - - |
Fac 03 - |       Manufacturer        | - Supplies Manufacturing DC only
             ------------------------------------

Sound confusing at first, but the demand flows through to the lowest level 
pretty well with this setup.
