MRP reschedule dates are only for "live" orders and are only suggestions. If you follow the suggestion and change a shop order due date, the next MRP will try to line up its components. Since MRP CL program first clears all planned orders and later creates whatever planned orders are appropriate, there are no reschedule messages on planned orders. There could be reschedule messages on Firm Planned Orders however. I have been working inside the guts of BPCS code since Aug 1984 ( S/24, S/36, S/38, and now the glorious AS/400 ) and have even modified both the CL programs and the RPG programs so I am confident to tell you, Al, you are absolutely correct in your description. By the way, it is not hard to test....... create 3 new 'dummy' Items & run it out......
