We went live on 6.1 last month and have found no major response problems with order entry (enter about 500 orders per day). It has taken a while for our users to get used to some of the actions required when entering orders. The only problem we had in this area was that orders were being combined or duplicated if a second order is entered before a first order has been processed by the ORDERPOST subsystem. This was largely resolved by permitting up to 3 orders to be processed simultaneously; but there is a BMR which fixes this problem that we are in process of applying. We are testing 6.1 full GUI and have been told there is nobody running order entry in GUI due to response issues. Can anybody shed some light on this. Another note we do not plan on using the COM functionality, just plan old order entry.
