We are currently on BPCS 6.0.02 MM. We have been using BPCS's forecasting module which does work. Our manufacturing, Sales & Marketing want the functionality of "what if". The sales reps want the ability to inform the forecast analyst of changes in the market; changes in future demand. The Sales reps want a drill down PC based solution, and want the software to be somewhat easy to use. We have decided on Demand Solutions Forecast Management. We are going live on February 1, it is a server based windows application. The software needs a powerful server. I will let you know how thing are going. We are currently running our pilot. Next week we will be teaching our sales reps how to use the software. So far things are going well. We have automated the download and the upload to and from BPCS. We are forecasting using orders ECL, We are pulling our sales information from SIL, Uploading the forecast back to BPCS directly into KMR, bypassing BPCS's forcasting module. We are ver. 6.1 full client/server on an AS400. Our product is assemble to customer order and has many options per end item. We have established modular bills of material at the final assembly level so we can quickly configure our end items. We do establish a new end item number for each unique combination. Does anyone have a suggestions? Thanks, Ben Colletti Materials Mgr.
