Al, re. "I think I need a class in general principles of MRP irrespective of BPCS..." Try an APICS course. The American Production and Inventory Control Society informally owns (according to APICS bigots...like me) the standards for MRP terminology and generally accepted MRP practices. You can take a class or just order the training materials. The MRP class is something like 8 courses, 3 hours each. They qualify as adult continuing education courses and most employers foot the bill. I also highly recommend Joseph Orlicky's book on MRP. Not exactly as riveting as Tom Clancy (or Calvin and Hobbes) but an industry staple. http://www.apics.org George Sagen CPIM, CNE BPCS Application Consultant gsagen@primesourcetech.com <mailto:gsagen@primesourcetech.com> http://www.primesourcetech.com PrimeSource Technologies, L.L.C. 7373 East Doubletree Ranch Road Suite 150 Scottsdale, AZ 85258 (801)360-6360 Direct & VM +--- | This is the BPCS Users Mailing List! | To submit a new message, send your mail to BPCS-L@midrange.com. | To subscribe to this list send email to BPCS-L-SUB@midrange.com. | To unsubscribe from this list send email to BPCS-L-UNSUB@midrange.com. | Questions should be directed to the list owner: dasmussen@aol.com +---
