A major project for us is that some customers payments tell us what portions
of what shipments they are paying for, at the time that they start using the
parts, using data that is meaningful to them, but when their requirements are
on blanket orders of various quantities of the same part # week after week &
the bar code label is what THEY WANT without anything to distinquish one week
shipment from any other shipment, it is an accounting project to figure out
which invoices they are paying for & what shipments they have not yet paid
for.

Another accounting project are customers whose accounting departments have no
knowlege of the details of what we shipped them, so we have to gather up
proof of shipment with signatures of their employees who signed for delivery.
Since the same delivery companies are used quite frequently, I am thinking
there might be value in asking for some kind of copy of delivery details to
customer accounting departments automatically.
