We have had whole bunches of problems due to people updating ECH/ECL for 
different purposes concurrently, so we have a company rule ... when billing 
is being run ... everyone else get out of customer order updates & shipping 
activity.  That solved the problem, except when some people do not pay 
attention.  There was a rush customer order after the shipping crew had gone 
home, and the customer service people's shipment went into a black hole ... 
they were half way thru when their work was sucked up by the invoicing ... 
they had neglected to tell billing that there was a need to interupt billing 
for their emergency.

We're on BPCS 405 CD mixed mode ... PTF-1 without the Y2K repairs done yet
