There are several issues here as to whether this topic belongs in BPCS_L >From perspective of an MIS Manager advising one's company on what approach to take with what products, is it in the best interests of our company to go with a software product whose creators are under assault in the court system for alleged infringement, or with the company that launched the assault & which apparently solves its problems this way. Do we want to know which software suppliers have successfully beaten off such legal battles? >From the perspective of list management, in a world of internet legality quagmire & some Y2K lawyers seeking deep pockets, there is an understandable desire to keep a low profile.
