Al,
I would recommend going to at least PTF-2 for BPCS 405CD. There was a lot of fixes to the programs. Right now I am in the process of getting all BMR's for PTF-3 that is available. On of the big items with PTF-3 is a fix to SYS903B the BPCS date routine. They made it much more efficient and there was a bug in it that got fixed. The bug in it effected our MRP system.

We have had whole bunches of problems due to people updating ECH/ECL for
different purposes concurrently, so we have a company rule ... when billing
is being run ... everyone else get out of customer order updates & shipping
activity. That solved the problem, except when some people do not pay
attention. There was a rush customer order after the shipping crew had gone
home, and the customer service people's shipment went into a black hole ...
they were half way thru when their work was sucked up by the invoicing ...
they had neglected to tell billing that there was a need to interupt billing
for their emergency.
We're on BPCS 405 CD mixed mode ... PTF-1 without the Y2K repairs done yet
