I attended a presentation from Aldon on their Intellitest Suite for the
AS/400. One component of this product is TESTBENCH400 which has a test data
reduction and extraction tool. You configure it with specific relationship
rules and then it will extract sets of data. This looked like a very ciable
product. Their website is www.aldon.com.

We currently have the luxury of space and have duplicated our production
environment into a test library for the integrations testing and a second
set for Q/A testing by the users. These are typically refreshed each night
so that yesterdays production data is todays test data. When either space
or time becomes an issue we will need to invest in this type of tool.
