I have tried several times to download a spool file to the PC via client 
access and gotten the same results as you.  I am told that there is a 
parameter that must be set.  I will look that up for you.  In the mean time, 
I have been successfully in creating a folder on the AS/400 for pc documents 
then after doing the CPYSPLF command, I execute the CPYTOPCD command to copy 
to the folder.  Then thru the network a can move the file to my local pc for 
further processing.  Then is a product on the market called MONARC
