No questions here - just sharing enthusiasm for stuff I discovered by accident SYS017 is a short cut back door to any BPCS program, menu, or product list, like the old S/36 command line except F4 list with search capability. CALL PGM(QSYS/QEZSNDMG) It is the same as GO ASSIST option 4 to send same message to any number of users with F4 to check list of profile text who's who We have this API inside a CL onto BPCS User Menu for use by folks who have not been granted command line authority This is inside our library of Query CL along with various other stuff for BPCS User Menu at bottom of library list as a safety feature in case some Power User enthusiast adds some program name that coincides with something SSA created. I thought that GO ASSIST was inappropriate for many users as the attention key default, so I tried to change to our general message CL of that API, only to find that BPCS has SYS017 for that purpose higher in our library list CHGPRF ATNPGM(*LIBL/SYS017) means some places I get SYS017, some places old GO ASSIST, & some places nothing happens when I press the attention key ... I tried vanilla menus, command line from them, user menus, CALL QCMD from them (which is also embedded in one of our BPCS User Menu CL's) I do not know if SYS017 works right from all these places (I suspect not when from command line) Al Macintyre - on 405 CD +--- | This is the BPCS Users Mailing List! | To submit a new message, send your mail to BPCS-L@midrange.com. | To subscribe to this list send email to BPCS-L-SUB@midrange.com. | To unsubscribe from this list send email to BPCS-L-UNSUB@midrange.com. | Questions should be directed to the list owner: dasmussen@aol.com +---
