Some users with clout have the > beta version of ODW for NT -- what the final product will be is anyone's > guess... ODW is very real, and yes it runs on NT. There are several pieces to it ( design tool, large BPCS repository and server-side code generator ) and you apparently need a darned big/fast NT server for the repository ( which no longer lives on the AS/400, but it does generate there...). If you call your SSA types, and they call their internal SSA product types, and you are willing to sign the right papers, you can enter into an agreement to get it. It only has a 6.0.04 BPCS repository so far, but you can bet new releases of BPCS will also be put into a repository for ODW. It also works for Unix. . . the BEC (BPCS Extensibility Center) types in Canada use it already to do modifications for Unix customers. It also does NOT work with Windows95/98 (or OS/2 ). You can even look on OGS and see COMPLETED recent BMRs done for ODW...so you know it is real....they are fixing bugs in it! If you search the Frequently Asked Questions, you can find references to it (from very recently): MR Number:41726 Priority Code:E Version Reported:6004 Platform Reported:CLT Program:ODW/OPS Origin Code:I Completed Date:07-08-98 Rejected Date:00-00-00 Rejected Reason: Action diagram printout wrong. When printing action diagrams of display programs from the OPS Designer the report contains a lot of ADK specific references and parts of the printout are in an incorrect sequence. For example Pre-Screen Actions are specified after Post-Enter Actions in the layout. The layout should be more like an expanded version of the program structure chart that the user can view while designing a display program. The fact that the report does not match what the user can see in the designer causes much confusion to new non-AS/SET ADK users.
