We recently converted from 4.04 to 4.05CD.

The conversion itself was almost a non-event. Of course, we had tested
thoroughly. We have a number of custom programs and had about a six month
development/testing phase. If you have custom programs, or have modified
BPCS programs, you should of course test like crazy. While we went through
a few days of cleanup after we went productional, we had very little in the way
of post conversion troubles.

Yes, there are asset programs in 4.05CD. The AS/SET source repositories
are available from SSA. You'll want to make sure you are on v 6.0.04 of
AS/SET ADK. If you have IWS, the latest version is 5.0.03 (I think).

Even if you are running vanilla BPCS with no mods or custom programs, it
would be a good idea for you to convert to a test environment, and make sure
you can run your business before you commit. Since you are going from a v3
release to 4.05, you'll want to make sure you have good data conversion. I
don't know if there were database structure changes between 3 & 4. I would
hope that SSA took that into account in shipping your upgrade, but would not
assume it.

I'd also recommend that you think about bringing in a consultant with BPCS
implementation/conversion experience, to help you oversee your conversion.

Bon chance!
