I have made a cost comparison report.
Basically, What it does is compare the current cost in the Cost Master File (CMF) to a copy of the Cost Master file (CMFHST).
After the comparison the program will copy the Cost Master File to a copy of it (CMFHST) if the run parameter tells it to do so.
We have it run automatically on our scheduler.
Here are the parameters the report offers.
Facility..................: XX
Cost Set..................: 3
Item Range................: To 99999999999999
Replace History...........: N (Y/N)
Detail....................: N (Y/N)
The report does show the date and time of the history file it uses.
Best Regards,
Roger Wolf

Subject: Frozen & Standard Costs
Does anyone report on both a frozen and standard cost that changes as
the BOM's and routers are updated.
Our thoughts are to use a unique cost set for both Frozen & Standard.
As new products are added though, the only way to get the costs is to do
a roll up which uses current Bom's and Routers thus "changes" our Frozen
Standard. Any Thoughts
