I'm not sure how it works on an AS/400.... Here's a cheap solution that may work, depending on how fancy you want to do this. On our HP, we rewrote the lp command (in the /bpcs/bin directory). In doing this, we are able to trap the name of the output (ie bom200*** is a bill of materials), and send that on to a virtual printer for our forms software. The original printer name was embedded in the file, so all of this is transparent to the user - they print as normal from BPCS.
