Tyler and Kathleen, I agree with Kathleen 100%. I once coded a custom application for a convenience store chain. We had unit of purchase (case), unit of stock (box, six-pack), and unit of sale (each, box, six-pack). I haven't seen anything like it commercially available since. The reporting of sales, cost, and pricing was a _NIGHTMARE_, especially when you threw vendor promo's and deals into the mix! The "special pricing" function in BPCS might help, but is rarely a panacea in my experience. I know for a fact that "special pricing" _won't_ work when you have a client with a contract that specifies the "lowest available price" for all transactions based on date (like Wal-Mart or K-Mart). The latter is especially troubling for commodities such as sugar or coffee...
