When talking to IBM i users that, for example, has 10 different products
running on their IBM they are sick and tired of having to maintain users in
10 different systems have 10 different log-on and 10 different UI's.

Here in Scandinavia, there is a growing consensus to use Ext JS as the UI
defacto standard at IBM and that the above problem must be solved.

This is not an easy task because some of those proprietary companies have
overlapping products, but customers tend to, and want to buy products with
both MS look a like and consistency in the UI's and products that can be
integrated into their existing menu structure, common log in and UI.

This is an ongoing process, but more exciting is that there is a growing
number of programmers that use Ext JS on different platforms and that "we"
IBM i freaks are moving into these technical groups. Simultaneously, I have
a series of meetings with teachers at several technical universities in
scandinavian in early 2011, this with the aim of creating awareness about
IBM i as a highly effective REST server, with a "speak their language and
they will listen" approach. My goal is to establish a 3 hour
"window/session" in their pupils education and promote them to sign into the
above groups.

I am not "barking" do this or do that - this is right or this is wrong - I
just do it "my way" ;-)
