a "reverse proxy" could make your life a lot easier. Without giving up
anything; contrary, you might win additional security.

That would be Apache running on the third partition acting as reverse
proxy for the production HTTP server running on the second partition.

Then you have the HTTP server on your production machine, which makes
life a lot easier.

And you can take advantage of Apache's caching.

You can set up this on the very same machine as well as on two
