Hi Peter,

there is a "kiosk"-mode in IE, where F11 is of no use. (Alt+F4 will
work, though.)

I don't know how to turn it on with JavaScript. When you find out,
please tell.

You can run IE in kiosk mode with

iexplore -k http://www.ibm.com

Hope this helps at least a little bit!
