RPG Web Service Example

fixed

Can anyone suggest a source for locating a simple all-inclusive example
and code for a very simple web service with coding examples for both
ends?

We wish to create a small example to "prove" to management that this can
be an approach for moving data between our Power i DB2 box and non-IBM
SAP host system. Another manufacturing site has an Oracle example linked
to SAP with BPEL, so we know the concept works, but a review of that
application hasn't been very helpful for us System i folks. The are some
writings from prominent System i people that talk about using iNav and
others that specify WDSc or even EGL.

We have V5R4 and iNav. We also have V6 and V7 of WDSc. I think I also
have one copy of V7 RDB. Not sure where to start and whether ONE of
these tools is the best place to start. Finally, do ANY of these tools
require WAS Server to run the web service or does OS/400 have something
that simply lets you enable an RPG program to be sender/receiver for the
service. Any direction would be appreciated.

Thank you.
Rick
