Hi Joe,
I don't pretend enteering in an competition with you, we all here in the
list wants the same: the best way for creating web graphical apps in the "i"
plattform, so rest a little.
even my lack of fluent and fast english is more important to read/write here
and I need to simplify and short the arguments.

even until now I was not seeing your "demo", because I'm not interested in
the details, only in the big and important arguments about the "i"
developers don't going to modernize at least the new apps.

but, well, now I've tested your demo and sorry I don't understand what is
intended to do it.
it shows two boxes with a combo each that I don't know why.
it shows in the center an calendar widget, I select some day and none
happen,
I select several days and none happen,
I change the months several times and the gadget shows "undefined NaN" in
the month and "NaN" in each day.
I can't see any about scheduler or so on, btw the right part in the screen
is allways empty.

but, I repeat, I don't want to discuss about how some concrete task will be
made.

my only interest is why the "i" developers don't have an (IBM) approach to
develop modern win or web based apps using only RPG, only the System i (even
html, css, and js in the IFS).

I can do it, some others also, but this is not the IBM way, sometimes having
to ear that we are in different journey, and wondering why IBM don't want
this "natural" way.

About web2.0 please don dogmatize here, for making modern web apps,
responsive and plenty of web2.0 modes of use are "only" needed to use basic
ajax-js communications, "easy" to do using only RPG+JS and maybe some js
library.

web2 (even being able to do without problems) is not really the ceter of the
business apps that shops needs, even "simple" but web-based GUI is enough in
the mayority of cases, don't need to complex the requeriments.

javascript is really powerful, but even not needed to know too much js,

yes EGL is here for years, is for this I'm asking where is these business
apps, I don't see any in the shops.

Guillermo.
