I have always used the advanced version, so that is not it.  I think you 
answered your own question.  You probably have WSSD left over from a 
previous install.  Look under C:\Program Files\IBM.  Do you have an 
Application Developer folder and a Site Developer folder?  My quess is 
that you uinstalled an old WDSC, which removed the WDSC link file from 
WSSD, then did not uninstall WSSD.

You then installed the advanced version which is separate.
